Byron Eksteen is a professional artist based in Cape Town that has exhibited and sold work both locally and internationally.
Beyond his career in fine arts Byron brings a decade of experience working in the film industry in the art department; working across graphic design, story boarding, props standby, art direction, fabrication. More noticeably his niche lies in creating graffiti and murals and has worked on several major productions including the latest Gore Verbinski Feature ‘Good Luck Have Fun And Don’t Die’.
Byron has the ability to work from rough concept sketches and ideas delivered by the director or PD and turn it into a what is exactly envisioned. Regarding his graffiti work ~ he is able to work in many different styles but what has been mostly in demand is his ability to work in a loose and sketchy style. Considering his experience working in the art department Byron has a very good understanding of the industry and how it works including set etiquette. Lastly Byron has on many occasions curated paintings used for film sets and has developed a signature abstract style that works perfectly for set as the work can compliment the set without screaming for attention for the camera’s eye.

Shaun Skelton has been exploring the horticultural world for two decades. Whether it’s been studying Biodynamics at Emerson College in Sussex, England and on the hydroponic mushaves of Israel, tilling the soil on organic farms, teaching permaculture, or working as a landscaper and nurseryman around Southern Africa ~ the sustainability, design and presentation of the natural world is his passion.
For the past 20 years, the film industry has been Shaun’s garden, where he has created landscapes for hundreds of commercials, still shoots and feature films. Chlorofilms is the culmination of those 20 years.
Meeting creatives from around the world and collaborating to craft something unique is an endlessly rewarding process. Every project brings its own challenges, opportunities, and lessons. After more than two decades in film, I still love every part of it. I’m passionate about keeping pace with industry innovation and finding smarter, more efficient and sustainable ways to enhance the visual and emotional impact of each story.

Mira Nair, Anne Sewitsky, Sherry Hormann, Kai Wessel, Mac Premo, Liam O’Donnell, among others.
I’ve also learned from some of the industry’s most inspiring Production Designers such as Stephanie Carroll, Kevin Phipps, Fred du Preez, Tracy Collis, John Bennett, Tom Gubb and Franz Lewis.
My work has brought me into partnership with global production companies like Netflix, Warner Brothers, Fox Searchlight and Sony Pictures , as well as South Africa’s leading studios, Moonlighting, Film Afrika, Orange Films, Gatehouse and Farm Films.
In every project, I aim to create sets that feel alive and environments that become characters in their own right. At the heart of it all, we love great stories.
